The ruins of Timoleague Franciscan Abbey stand majestically on the shores of the Argideen River estuary. Founded in the 13th century, this atmospheric abbey features well-preserved walls, Gothic windows, and a tower offering views over the village and harbor. Located 12km from Clonakilty, it's one of West Cork's most photographed historical sites.
